First time homebuyers need as much information as they can get....particularly right now. As a stimulus to get the economy "moving" again, the government has made available, to first time homebuyers, a tax credit, amounting up to $8,000! That's a chunk of change for anyone, but particularly those who are buying their first home! There are always unexpected expenses that one acquires in that first home purchase such as: updates, furniture, utility hookups or maybe just paying off some debt! Check out this website: www.firsthomeexperience.com
I am in no way advocating anything on this website, however, I did feel there could be some helpful advice for those contemplating that first home purchase.
If you want to make the deadline of midnight, November 30, 2009, to qualify for this tax credit....then you better act quickly! November 30th is about 50 days away......it usually takes 30-45 days to close on a property.....that means you need to find something and put it Under Contract within the next 10-15 days (MAX) so the property can close in a timely & professional manner!
Call me, Debbie Jennings, 573-275-1533, if you need assistance finding that first home!
