Our entire country is definitely struggling with a depressed economy. Has this hurt the housing market, indeed it has! However, I'm happy to say the area encompassing Cape Area Homes has not been hit as hard! According to the Cape Girardeau County MLS the average price of a home from 2008-2009 has risen from $141,000 to $150,000. Sales are down from 2008-2009. However, a trend that I have noticed is that alot of real estate agents are being affected by the negativity of the news media and it has reflected in their sales....basically they gave up before they ever started, so their sales either went down or stopped, which affected the statiscal number.
I have not quit trying! 2009 has been an exceptionally good year for me, but then I've always made lemonade out of lemons!
Let me show you a sample of why Cape Girardeau and Jackson area homes are still selling!! Check out the quality of these homes and the unbelievable prices!

1114 Apache, Jackson, MO---an extremely well maintained 3 br, 1 full & 2 half bath, ranch home, with a swimming pool and fenced yard available for only $134,900!

Ranch Home + 3 Acres, Cape County--$175,000 1630 Scott St, Cape Girardeau, Updated Ranch---- $97,900!
Homes are selling in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, and the surrounding area. Homes that are $150,000 or less definitely sell quicker than higher priced homes, however, "top dollar" homes are still closing!
My advice to you...............Check out Cape Area Homes NOW!
